Haymerle School was recently awarded the 'Best Practice with Teaching Assistants' award.

This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing group of Support Assistants.  We would like to thank everyone who was involved in helping us to achieve this award. 

The Best Practice with Teaching Assistants Award (BPTAA) is a framework and certification process for schools to evaluate and improve the support they provide to teaching assistants. It involves self-evaluation, the creation of an action plan for professional development, leadership, and management of TAs, and the collection of evidence to demonstrate improvements in TA impact on pupil attainment and well-being. The award benefits schools by providing a structured approach to TA support, fostering effective collaboration, and formally recognising the valuable and complex role of TAs.
