Welcome to Indigo Class
Welcome to a new academic year. Our class name is Indigo class (Year 3). The class teacher is Funmi, and the supporting adults are Tina, Jo, Vanessa and a PPA cover (Brittany). If you have any questions or concerns you are welcome to reach out to me either through the communication book or via email fkomolafe@haymerle.southwark.sch.uk).
Please send in a PE kit for your child. We will keep the PE kits at school and they will be returned every half term to be cleaned and returned to school. We will be having PE every Monday afternoon.. As a class, we engage in many different activities (wet play, messy play, creative arts etc) which result in clothes becoming dirty. It would also be helpful to have an additional change of clothes at school.
As we are following the Little Wandle Reading program, we will be assigning books online that we have been reading in class. We will also be sending homework once a week.
Please send in a snack/food for your child to eat. At school, we promote 'Healthy Eating' and will be encouraging the children to explore (mixing, tasting, touching) the school meals provided at school. We will also be introducing a new fruit or healthy snack each week to encourage Healthy Eating.
If your child wears nappies and receives support for intimate care, please do send in the appropriate supplies. We will keep you posted as to whether additional clothes and nappies are needed.
Thank you.
